Simon Says Stamp "Hey Love" Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome everyone. Today we are celebrating the latest Simon Valentines release "Hey Love".
If you're coming from Kristina Werners blog, then you're in the right place.

First up, I thought I'd show you some unassuming dies I designed from this release. They are the Partial Cut Leaves. They can be placed anywhere on your card to create little leaves that
lift off the page.

I die cut my leaves up the right side of a white panel then added a single flower. I stamped the message using Slate ink. Then I placed the panel over a top folding Fog notecard and added Nuvo drops in Oyster.

Next, in an attempt to use up some washi tape, I created a collage with tape, paint and die cuts. I just went for it. I didn't even worry about what hearts were left in the die cut piece

When I was happy with my layering, I used some black Enamel Accents on the painted area as a finishing touch. Creating this way is relaxing and unpredictable!

Finally... this die.. The Heart of Flowers. It's super fun. I created it with this card in mind. My thoughts of creating a watercolor panel with the die cut on top worked out really well.
You could use any color theme
really, but I went with a rainbow theme!

To add the greeting, I just white embossed it on a strip of black cardstock for contrast and set it at the bottom of the heart.

January My Monthly Hero Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hero Art January My Monthly Hero Blog Hop

Each month Hero Arts comes out with a kit and add-on items that compliment one another. I used some of the add-ons to the kit to create a mini card with trifold envelope. I stamped the XO repeatedly onto the front flap of the envelope and then added some spring type papers.

I stamped additional images to add and attached the heart just at the top so once the envelope is closed, the heart sits on top.

I attached papers to the inside of the envelope and added some stamping and postage stamp frame to complete my design.

The add-ons to the kit are available in the Simon Says Stamp store. Check out what I've used in my mini notecard by clicking on the images below.

GIVEAWAY from Hero Arts!!
Hero is giving away a kit to one lucky winner from all the comments along the hop. Be sure to comment on each blog post along your way. Giveaway closes Sunday, January 15 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week.

Keep Hopping!

Simon Says Stamp DIEcember™ Blog HOP + GIVEAWAY

Welcome everyone! I hope you've enjoyed the hop. I'm the last stop and I hope to give you inspiration using some of my designs.

I'll start off with a card I created using the Circle of Leaves. I die cut 3- layers using different papers and placed them together with a slight rotation so each of the layers would show.

This card is quick to make but looks elegant and involved.

The die I used for this next card is the Fold Over Tree. The die is placed to the left of center where it only cuts one side and has a score line to help you fold it over. Imagine using this die with double sided pattern papers and it's perfect for shaker cards too!!

I kept things clean and simple with Silver, White and Grey tones of sequins.

Penguins have belly buttons... right? I couldn't resist! This die has two penguins- one big and one small. What a duo! The die cuts the paper altogether so piecing things back together is easy.

I colored my background and penguin pieces with inks and a blending tool and set them onto the Sunrise Border which reminded me of water.

Simon Says Stamp is letting each of us giveaway a $25.00 Gift card to one lucky winner. I'll be choosing my winner by comments left on my blog by
Sunday evening at midnight (CST).  Good luck!!!
